The Berlin Police Department provides 24/7 protection to the residents, businesses, students, and visitors of Berlin, New Jersey. Our Patrol Officers receive additional resources to assist them in handling certain types of calls for service requiring advanced equipment and officers with training in a specialized discipline. The special units include K-9, Community Relations Unit and Special Response Team.
The K9 Unit is comprised of Officer Palma, a K9 Handler with K9 Clyde. They work together with patrol unit and respond as a team to assist with Officers when needed. Their response is to assist using a specialized training in tracking and detection of suspects, as well as missing persons and narcotics investigations.

The Berlin Police Department's team of Community Relation Officers is an active unit within the Department to promote connections with the public we serve. Our officers attend numerous events through the year and as well as host others to continue to make our officers and agency more approachable. Community Relations is a key function of modern police work with hopes of extending the reach and connection.
The Lower Camden County Regional Special Response Team is comprised of officers from Berlin, Berlin Township, Pine Hill, Waterford and Voorhees. They assist with the apprehension of dangerous suspects as well as the service of high risk warrants.
The Berlin Police Honor Guard is a unit composed of devoted and highly motivated police officers who are dedicated to enhancing the law enforcement community. Officers are chosen based on their professional demeanor, meticulousness, passion for their work, and their readiness to represent others during patriotic ceremonies and in moments of sorrow.
