September Officer of the Month
In the month of September, Detective Heron investigated a case where a suspect made entry into the Dunkin Donuts and stole cash from the register during non-business hours overnight. Throughout the investigation, Det. Heron met with several of the employees in an attempt to interview potential suspects, as he believed the case involved someone familiar with the business. During this investigation, Det. Heron searched areas surrounding the business and was able to locate several cameras in the area that showed surveillance footage of Jackson Road. While doing so and investigating these cameras, he was able to identify a potential suspect vehicle. Det. Heron then continued to investigate potential suspects and was able to identify the suspect vehicle as the vehicle used in the commission of the crime. With this information he was able to identify and detain the suspect who provided a full confession as to her involvement and implement her boyfriend as the male suspect who burglarized the business. His attention to detail and persistence should be recognized and for that he is being awarded the Officer of the Month for the month of September.
